Summer is gone, and the Troop is gearing up for another great year of Scouting. 

1. First regular troop meeting will be on Monday, September 9 
   - 7:00-8:30 PM
   - Demarest Hall at Sparta United Methodist Church
   - Full Scouts BSA field uniform (more commonly known as our Class A uniform) unless otherwise noted via email communication.

• We meet EVERY Monday unless:
• Sparta Schools are closed both Monday and the next day.
• Sparta afterschool programs are cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
• We make a decision to cancel the meeting for some reason.

2. First camping trip will be September 27-29.  Location to be determined. (Stokes State Forest is full, working on an alternate)
   
   
3. Other important dates to put into your calendars:
   - October 11 and 12  –  ticket sales dates for our Spaghetti Dinner
   - October 19 and 30  –  ticket sales dates for our Spaghetti Dinner
   - October 25-27  –  Camping Jersey 360 Jamboree at Sussex County Fairgrounds
   - November 2 - Spaghetti Senior Luncheon and Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser (to be confirmed)
   - November 7, 8, 9, 10  – Annual four-day Teacher's Convention Camping Extravaganza
   - December 2  –  Adopt-a-family shopping night

Our annual mulch sale is our biggest fundraiser of the year.

It's a great opportunity for you to spruce up your home or business and to support your local Scout Troop.

Even though we get a couple of big truckloads, we always sell out, so be sure to get your order in early!

Klondike!

We hope everyone had a happy holiday season and a relaxing holiday break.  The troop is looking forward to the excitement of the new year. 

We will continue with our weekly Monday night troop meetings and our next big event is the Klondike Derby.
